Bread Warmers

Redware, decorative Bread Warmer Impressions from Old Buttermolds

In the past, many farmers would place their “seal” into the butter they produced before selling it at market. Today, many of these molds are
considered to be antiques.

We have made plaster impressions from some antique buttermolds and pressed them into shaped pieces of red clay to produce a reverse effect of the mold. These are functional as well as decorative items.

Directions for use:
Heat Bread Warmer in 350 degree oven for 5 min., or in microwave for 2 min. Warmer will be hot, so handle with care. Place heated warmer in bottom of basket. Place napkin on top of Warmer before placing bread in basket.
Do not use in plastic baskets. To clean, wipe Warmer with a damp cloth.
